Advanced site config
Set this option to Yes if you want to use the advanced site configuration options. If you're just starting with Jomres, then we advise you to leave this to No for now, as the default installation is sufficient to get you started, instead you should add Jomres to the main menu and log into the frontend as "admin" and start configuring your property(s). Please note that many of the advanced options will only be applicable to installations of Jomres Developer, Jomres Lite users will not be able to take full advantage of the features that they enable.

Support key
Your support license key number (also known as your license number). You will need an up-to-date license to be able to download and install plugins for Jomres (unless you have purchased a plugin through the Plugin Shop).

This is the download and support key that you get when your purchase a download and support license.
License server username
If you have a username and password on the license server, please enter them here. This will help you to access plugins that you are entitled to. If you have entered a valid Support key in the field above, then it is not necessary to supply the username/password here.

Load Jomres jQuery library?
You can set this to NO if you have a template that uses jquery. This MAY resolve jquery conflict issues on some templates, but not all.

Load Jomres jQuery UI CSS library?
Set this to No to disable only the jquery UI CSS file.
Load Jomres jQuery UI library?
Set this to No to disable loading of both the Jquery UI javascript and CSS files.
Jquery theme
Choose a jquery theme to use for the business details tabs.

Jomres uses the jQuery UI's css themes to generate it's output. You can 'roll your own' theme using the themeroller, download it then upload that theme to a new directory in the /jomres/css/jquery_ui_themes directory and use that instead of using one of the 24 themes that Jomres supplies by default.
Use javascript caching?
Choose whether or not to use the Jomres Javascript caching feature. Works on most servers, but not on all. If you're having problems with javascript errors that are reported as 'unterminated string literal' in (for example) Firebug, you should set this to No.
Use this option to change the site's language context. This feature allows Jomres to use labels that are appropriate for your current focus, so if your focus is as a Yacht Brokerage, then changing the context will allow Jomres to present labels from a different language file. For example, if you set the context to "Yacht Brokerage" then Jomres will first find the current language, then search the /jomres/languages directory for a sub-directory called "yachtbrokerage". If the file exists for the current language then that file will be used. If not, then Jomres will search for an english language file in that same directory. If that can't be found, Jomres will use the language file for the currently selected language in the /jomres/languages directory. Note that if you create a new property type, then a copy of the current language file is made in a subdirectory under /jomres/language with a name that reflects the new property type's description.
Is this a single business installation?
If this option is set to Yes, then the frontend view of Jomres to non-authorised users is greatly simplified. Default calls to Jomres from a menu option, instead of being given a list of businesses, just takes the guest to the booking form for the first business in the system. Business managers also will not see see the Business Details preview button or the Add new business button. Ideal if you only want to list one business and take bookings for it.
Google maps API key
Get can get a google maps API key from Google maps. Once you have input your map key here, Jomres will show the map in your Business Details page.

Jomres uses two different methods to determine a property's address within a google maps window. The first method uses gmap's address location technology. If that doesn't work, then it will fall-back to using latitude and longitute information provided in the property's edit details page.
Allow users to edit using html editors?
Switches on html editors in business details editing page.

We always recommend that you do not offer html editors if you are inviting untrusted users to register and create properties on your site, for three reasons :
  1. Joomla's HTML editors may provide more buttons than Jomres supports, and this might confuse them.
  2. Jomres strips any code that might possibly be used as an XSS attack vector, such as iframe and script tags, because it is always expected to be used by untrusted users. If the html editor suggests that it offers these options then Jomres' stripping of these tags will confuse users.
  3. Users may go a little mad when using html tags to try to highlight their properties over other users. Not offering html in the output will reduce the temptation for them.

Additionally, if this option is set to NO then Jomres will strip html from any output that's passed through the jr_gettext function (so, any text that can be edited using the editing mode feature, or can otherwise be customised by a manager).

Limit business registration to one country?
You can ensure that business registrations are limited to just one country by setting this option to Yes and setting the country in the following option.
Businesses are located in this country :

This is a dropdown with a list of countries.
If you use Joomfish, you should set this to No, and use Joomfish's language switcher. The switcher is always enabled in the administrator area because it is needed when you use the Label Translations feature.

This switcher is shown in the frontend to allow Jomres users who don't use Joomla to have language switching functionality. If you use Joomla, you should set this to NO.
Use Jomres messaging
Many manager updates provide feedback in the form of a javascript message when the page is reloaded, use this option to enable/disable that feature.
Show Managers's options as images
A YES/NO dropdown. If you don't like the icons used in the frontend of Jomres, you can set this to No.
Minimise configuration options
Set this to Yes to reduce the number of options available to business managers in the General Configuration section. This is useful if you do not want business managers to play around with too many settings, instead you can edit jomres_config.php to define default business options.

As Jomres evolves, this feature may become obsolete as a new plugin called Portal UI provides similar functionality.
Show the timezone switcher in the business manager's toolbar?
This is useful if a server's in one country (eg Germany) and the user's in another (eg. the Americas). Because of the difference in timezones it's possible that the user will be working on their Jomres installation on one day, but on the server itself it's another.
Use the Jomres caching feature?
Set this to No to disable the Jomres caching feature.

We strongly advise you to leave this feature set to No until you are ready to present your site and hotels to the public.
Default Commission rate
Choose the default commission rate that will be applied to a business in the event that another commission rate is not otherwise set.

You can create commission rates that can be applied to different properties. This commission rate is the default rate to be used unless another is chosen in the administrator area List Properties page.

Take care with this function. If set to Yes, then the editing mode will affect the custom text for ALL businesses in the system for the constant you are editing.

Users can register their businesses?
Set this to Yes if you want users to be able to register their own businesses without admin intervention.

If this is set to NO then a super property manager will need to create a new property in the frontend, then assign them manually using the Show Profiles feature in the administrator area.
Calendar output format
This allows the user to change the output format of dates within Jomres
Send Contact Owner emails to Alternative address?
Set this option to Yes if you want Contact Owner emails to be sent to the below input. Leave it set to No to send the emails to the email address defined in the business configuration area.
Alternative address for Contact Owner emails.

Use Jomres email address checker?
Enforces a stricter check on emails sent. Some secure web servers will throw a 500 internal error if you try to send an email to a non-existant email address. Switching this on allows us to use checkdnsrr features of php before attempting to send an email, preventing these 500 errors.
Component wrapped
Set this to Yes if the component is wrapped so that module and header areas are not to be seen

This is an advanced feature, and you should not use it unless you absolutely never want the Joomla modules and headers to be shown. Effectively it adds '&tmpl=component' to all urls used in Jomres.
Use the alternate menu layout?
Set this to Yes to use the Alternate menu option in the frontend. When set to No the Jomres Main Menu shows as an accordion on the left of the page, with a button to enlarge the menu. When set to Yes, the Alternate Main Menu is used, which results in a menubar across the top of the page. Both menus will slide with the user, and the Accordion menu is considered to be the better menu, however if you find that it's not appropriate for you, you're free to choose the alternate. If neither of these menus suit you, then you will need to modify mainmenu_wrapper.html and mainmenu_options.html to suit your specific set of requirements.
Set this option to Yes to enable the full access control feature, then visit the Access Control option under System Maintenance to configure access controls.
