General Configuration - Gateways

Note: You will need to enable gateways before they can be used, then activate each one what you want to use.
You will only be able to use gateways that are currently installed.
If a Receptionist/Property Manager makes a booking then they will not be offered the payment method, instead the booking will be inserted as deposit not paid. If for example the receptionist is taking the booking over the phone they will be able to mark the deposit paid after performing a CNP transaction on a credit card machine.
  • Use payment gateways? Set this to yes if you want to use online payment gateways. Note:This does not switch off the deposit calculation showed during the booking process. To disable this you can edit the templates that show rooms and wrap the elements that refer to deposits inside a class who's font and bg colour are the same.
  • Gateway enabled?

By default Jomres supplies three methods of processing payments.

    Paypal
    Cheque
    Form

Paypal should be considered your first option for processing payments within Jomres. It's easy to set up and a cheap way for new businesses wishing to process payments online to get off the ground.

Cheque offers a simple option to advise users that they need to send a cheque to the business's address to pay their deposit.

Form. This is a form that allows you to take and store creditcard data within the Jomres system itself. If you wish to implement this system you are advised to make yourself familiar with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

These pages are just the type of the iceberg, they offer links to more reading material than most mortals can digest but we recommend that you become as familiar with the PCI DSS as you can.
