If you cannot see the plugin manager button then please ensure that CURL is enabled on your server.
The Plugin Manager's purpose is to allow users to download and install all optional plugins currently available to Jomres right in the component's control panel. This makes it easier for us to introduce new plugins and deploy upgrades, and for you to find new and upgraded plugins. The manager can download and install 4 different types of Jomres plugins:
-
Internal plugins
-
Minicomponents
-
Modules (CMS specific, like search modules for Joomla 1.5)
-
Plugins (CMS specific, like bot_jomres_bookingform for Joomla 1.5)
The Plugin Manager will list all currently available plugins. You can use it then to install/upgrade or remove the plugins of your choice, however some plugins like Modules, Plugins and Minicomponents can only be configured and uninstalled via the standard Joomla configuration tools. All plugins can be upgraded direct from the Plugin Manager.
If you already have a valid Jomres Developer or Perpetual license, there is no need to purchase plugins. Please visit the Site Configuration page in the Administrator area of Jomres and enter your Support Key in the field indicated. Once you have done that you will be able to access all available plugins.
Once you have installed a plugin, you will be able to use it until you uninstall it again.
New in Jomres 5.5.5 : The plugin shop.
In 5.5.5 we introduced the Jomres Plugin Shop, which negates the need for you to purchase a full Jomres Developer or Perpetual license to access only the plugins that you need. If you have a Developer or Perpetual License and have filled the Download and Support field in
Site Configuration with your license number then you will not need to follow the remaining steps.
Note : All prices presented in the Plugin Manager are exclusive of VAT. If you have to pay VAT, then this will be reflected later in the invoice.
Currently plugin licenses are valid for three months after purchase. Once installed, if there is an upgrade for that plugin, and your plugin's license is still valid, you will be able to upgrade without purchasing again. If you need to uninstall a plugin, provided that your plugin's license is still valid you will be able to install it without needing to purchase it again.
Using the Plugin Shop
I click on the button indicating the price, this adds the plugin to the cart.
When I've chosen the plugins I want, I can click the Purchase button. When I do that, I'll see a popup that asks for my license server username and password.
If you haven't previously registered, you will need to register at the link provided in the popup, and confirm receipt of the registration email by clicking on the link in the email you will be sent. When you've done that, you can go back to the previous screen and enter your license server username and password.
Note : While registering you are given the option to enter your VAT number. If you are in the EU and have a valid tax number, we encourage you to enter that number here. If you don't then VAT will be added to your invoices.
You only need to register once, after that your license server's username and password are remembered for future use by the plugin manager.
If Jomres is able to authenticate the details you provided then an invoice will be created against your account. You will be emailed a link to that invoice, click on the link to see and pay the invoice.
Here is an example of an invoice. Click the Pay Now button to proceed.
Once the invoice has been paid, when you next visit the plugin manager, you will see an "Install" link next to the plugin(s) you've purchased. Simply click the link to install the plugin.
When the plugin is installed, your plugin list will change to something like this (dependant on the jQuery UI Theme you're configured to use). Click on the Install button to install the plugin.
Note : Purchase of a plugin does not entitle you to support for Jomres. If you need support, we encourage you to purchase a Jomres Developer or Jomres Perpetual Download and Support license.
