Setting up Joomfish

Jomres doesn't use Joomfish to provide translation, that's not possible because each and every property within Jomres needs the ability to have unique text choices, however because Joomfish is the only translation system for Joomla it does make use of Joomfish's language switching functionality.

When configuring your language file in Joomfish you need to ensure that "lang" (in this case, the ISO variable in the image above) is set to the name of the language file you're using, eg "french" or "german". With this done, Jomres should be able to find the language file for the currently selected language.

As of Joomfish 2 for Joomla 1.5, you need to set your Shortcode to the name of the language file.
