Property Manager functions - Property Admin
Note that some of the below options might not be visible, what's visible depends on your tariff editing mode. The configuration options here assume that your editing mode is set to Advanced.
The Property Admin section is the core of your property set up. This is where you will configure rooms, tariffs, room features and the basic information about your property. The different panels are accessed via tabs. Within these tabs your will be given a list of any existing elements and possibly buttons that will enable you to create new elements. Bulleted items are the fields for each element. If a field is marked as mandatory this means that, although the system might not force you to fill the field before clicking Save, you would be advised to do so.
- Rooms Type Mandatory
- Name Optional
- Number Optional
- Floor Optional
- Disabled access? Mandatory
- Max people Mandatory
- Smoking Mandatory
- Single person supplements Optional Note that Single person supplements set here will not be used if Single Person Supplements are set to Yes in Property Configuration. The settings here are an alternative to having flat rate Single Person Supplements, not an addition to the flat rate SPS.
As of Jomres 3.3, if you are running an SRP you will not see a list of the one available room and edit it. Instead, you will see the different property types that you can define the property as (eg 1 Bedroom, 2. Bedrooms etc).
The two important fields in this form are the Room Type and the Max People. These settings are used during the booking process, Room Type to help decide which tariffs to offer to prospective guests and the Max people to calculate the maximum available rooms in a property on a given date. Most of the fields here are free form, in that you can enter anything that suits your requirements. Disabled Access and Smoking are drop down fields.
The following tariffs options are only available if the Tariff Editing Mode is set to Advanced. Tariffs
- Tariff title Mandatory
- Description Optional
- Valid from Mandatory
- Valid to Mandatory
- Rate per night Mandatory
- Min days Mandatory
- Max days Mandatory
- Min people Mandatory
- Max people Mandatory
- Room type Mandatory. Room type needs to be selected because the booking engine cross references available rooms with the tariff according to room types.
- Ignore PPPN Mandatory. This allows you to configure a tariff to ignore the Per Person Per Night setting if a property is configured to normally charge using this feature. It allows a property to offer some rooms on a per person per night basis, but also other rooms, such as family rooms, which may be charged on a per room per night basis.
- Allow weekends Mandatory. Allow weekends gives you the option to create mid week tariffs. By setting this option to No you can stop this tariff from being offered when any of the booking days falls on a Friday or Saturday. It would be used in a tariff which, for example, has the min and max days both set to two or three.
- Weekends only Mandatory. Weekends only allows you to configure the tariff to be applied if a day or days in the booking falls on a weekend.
- Arrival Day of week Mandatory. Using this option, you can configure this tariff so that it's only offered if the day of the week selected in the booking form is X day of the week (by default, All is selected so that the tariff is valid for all days of the week)
- Min rooms already selected Mandatory. Minimum number of rooms already selected in booking before tariff/room type combo can be offered. Allows you to have discounted tariffs when more than N rooms are already selected.
- Arrival Mandatory. Maximum number of rooms already selected in booking before tariff/room combination is no longer offered. Allows you to stop offering this room type/tariff combination once N rooms have been selected in the booking form.
The booking engine presents room/tariff combinations to the prospective guest. Settings here will help to determine if a tariff can be offered during a booking, depending on the particulars of the booking (eg number of guests, length of the stay) All fields are mandatory except for the description. The valid from and to dates refer to the dates between which it can be considered for offering in combination with a room to the prospective guest. The Rate per night is the base cost of the room, while min and max days refer to the number of days in a stay. Min and Max people refers to the number of people in the booking.
