Installing Jomres Lite

Installation of Jomres Lite is simple enough.

Firstly, we're assuming that you've already got a Joomla server running to install Jomres onto.

Go to this page : http://www.jomres.net/jomres-lite.html and click the "To download Lite click here, it's free!" link to download the Component Installer.

When you've downloaded the installer, use your Joomla Extension installation feature to install Lite.

The installer will copy the web installer to the root of your Joomla installation's site and check that it can create a directory called "jomres_install" (if it can't, it'll tell you and prompt you to create the directory yourself. You should then give your web server write access to that directory). This directory is used to download and unzip Lite, so if you need to you can temporarily chmod the directory via ftp to 777 for the duration of the installation, but you should remove it afterwards.

Assuming that it's been able to create the directory then a normal web installation takes place and you'll be redirected to the next stage (Step 2 - Database and license installation ).
