General description

Local event displayed using the extended maps plugin
The Extended Maps plugin Lists all properties that have latitude and longitude data stored in their property details, on a Google map. The map replaces the random search list front page, but only for non-authorised users (I.E. property managers). Can work in conjunction with the Local Events plugin. If local events and attractions have been created and they include latitude and longitude details, then they will be shown on the map.

Obtaining the extended_maps plugin

This plugin can be purchased from the Jomres online shop. Upon completion of purchase, you can download the plugin packed as a zip file from your account.

Installation

The plugin can be installed using the Jomres plugin installer.

Usage

The extended maps plugin replaces default Jomres frontpage for non-authorised users with a map that includes markers for all properties that have latitude and longitude details stored. The map also includes markers for all local events and attractions, but only if local_events plugin is installed and events or attractions are defined. The map is displayed only when no search is performed. If a search is performed, then the normal Jomres property list/results will be displayed.

Final notes

If you don`t want the map to replace the default property list when no search is performed, then all you have to do is to rename j00012extended_maps.class.php to xj00012extended_maps.class.php (the file is located in /jomres/remote_plugins/extended_maps) and rebuild registry. After that, you can access the map by creating a menu item or directly using this url: index.php?option=com_jomres&task=extended_maps
