From Jomres v4 manual

Jomres is a plugin for CMSs (Content Management Systems). Currently the only supported CMS is Joomla 1.5, however it's framework is constructed in such a way to allow it to be used in other CMSs.

Being integrated into a CMS is considered one of Jomres' greatest strengths. As CMSs are becoming more the default method for web site developers to present content, so too are they looking for booking applications which will integrate seamlessly into the same CMS.

Jomres started out as a pure Joomla/Mambo component (plugin) however for a variety of practical and licensing reasons over time it has evolved to be less and less reliant on any one CMS. In May of 2009 Jomres v4 was released which has all of the CMS specific handling removed from it's core code which allows it to become truly CMS agnostic.
